Our rebuilt Prop looks brand new

After our celebrations yesterday with lots of chocolate, drinks, and tasty food we were ready to cruise today hoping to make it part way to Trenton and then, at 8 am we received a message that our repaired prop was ready. The crew installing the props asked us to stay in Campbellford and do the re-installation here so we changed our plans and relaxed at the dock for a 3rd day. We were not sure when they would arrive but we were anxious to get moving again and if they arrived in the morning we could probably get a few more locks in during the day, making it easier to make up the "time lost" on our trip.

Unfortunately, they could not get to our boat till after dinner so we ended up doing small chores around the boat and playing cards in the afternoon. The temperature today was a bit chilly so it was an indoors kind of day, playing games, watching movies and enjoying more munchies. But everyone enjoyed the different activities whether onboard or at shore.

For the last two days we have been tied alongside a Greenline 40 Hybrid Yacht outfitted with solar panels and two small diesel engines. When running on battery the boat is totally quiet and when using the diesel engines they recharge the batteries. Quite ingenious design and I think we are going to see more new boats using this design in the future. The owners are travelling from Windsor to Ottawa and back, and plan to take a couple months to do the trip. The boat is not slow either and can handle somewhat rough waters as well. It is good to meet others on our trip and engage in discussions whether good or about other people's horror stories.

Tomorrow we will be on the water early as the locks open at 9 am and our plan is to get through the rest of the Trent Waterway system and make our way to Belleville for the night.

We are not yet sure when we will get to Montreal as we've lost a few days but we will know better after tomorrows run. Tonight everyone rests for our run to cruise up the St. Lawrence.

OUT TO SEE is feeling better this evening and the Captain and crew are all well rested!

Congratulations on getting a nicely refurbished prop installed!!! You're good to go for nothing but positive adventures. Have a great trip finishing up the Trent.

Noticing the anchor on the Greenline, looks like a Fortress anchor on steroids! cool!
